Meet Miss Personality (AKA Lexi Dane).  We are fostering another Lexie, so we have Lexi Dane and Lexie Golden.  Lexi Dane loves to sit in her foster dad's lap to watch TV.

The Night Before Rescue

Santa works quietly in mysterious ways

He stops by shelters and picks up strays.

He knows the names of those who care

And places dogs in rescue so groups beware.

He slips past the hustle and bustle and strife

To find a perfect family to foster this  life.

They feed and they love this new rescued pup

And wait for a forever family to pick them up.

There are too many stops like this one you see

People discarding their pets and setting them free.

But just when you think there is no hope for this pup

A wonderful volunteer steps up .

It takes a lot of people to carry out this dream

From intake to fosters to the home visiting team.

So maybe it wasn't Santa that worked in mysterious ways

But a group of rescue folks that saved us that day.

Lexi loves to look out the upstairs window to check things out.  If things seem interesting, she will run downstairs and go outside.  This girl is just too funny.

I finally got to work on my blog.  I have been so busy with decorating for Christmas and playing with Barrett, that I have not had time to do any blogging.  Well, Barrett has left.  I don't know exactly what happened, but he is gone.  I did hear my foster mom mention that he was on his way to meet his new family.  I think he was traveling up north.  I think he will do fine though because he had a beautiful fluffy golden coat.  I'm not sure if I would like that because I don't have a fluffy coat.  I have a beautiful gray and black slick shiny coat.   I do have a warm sweater with pink sleeves though.  Boy, do I look good in my sweater.  Pictures will have to come later, because now it is warmer outside.  As you can see from the pictures, I love to be next to my favorite people (and dogs).  I am full of personality and I love everybody.  Wait, I think I hear my foster mom.  I better go.  Talk to you later!  Lex

Lexi is beginning to get her feelings hurt.  She has got to be one of the coolest dogs we have fostered and we have fostered over 100.  She is full of personality.  She loves playing with our Golden foster.  She loves to talk.  It might sound like she is being bossy, but she is being vocal.

Thor gets adopted!

Ok, so Thor did not have to go very far to meet his new family.  We adopted him!  We could not let this beautiful, sweet boy go.  I have tried to think of all the new names we could give him, Theo, Bo, Tanner, Moore, but we keep calling him Thor.  I have nicknamed him Tho Tho.

We have failed again.  This is one special boy that we could not let go.  We love you ThoTho.

Thor is loving the good life at his foster home.  He came to us very under nourished.  He loves everybody and he has a very laid back personality.  Of course, Lexi loves him.  He is a very handsome boy with beautiful cropped ears.  When you gets a few pounds back on, he will be gorgeous.

Meet our new foster girl, Lexie.  As you can see, she needs put on a few pounds.  She is settling in at her foster home and is starting to play with our Golden foster, Penny.

Gabby gets adopted!

Gabby met her new family Saturday and she is living the good life.  We will miss this sweet girl.

Rocky

Rocky has settled in at his foster home, but he is not quite sure about our alpha boy, Robbie.  He and Robbie have had a few differences.  Robbie does not always welcome our fosters into his home.  Rocky is very laid back and likes to go for walks.  He walks great on the leash.

Gabby

Meet Miss Personality.  Gabby loves people and other dogs.  She likes to go for walks or just hang out at home with her foster family.  She is a beatiful girl that loves her new life with a foster family that loves her.  She loves to get toys out of the basket and play.  Gabby is house trained and does not have to go in a crate.  Gab takes treats nicely and knows sit.  She just hangs out all day in the house with Rocky and her foster brothers and sister while we are at work.

Meet our new foster boy, Rocky.  He is a 5 year old Great Dane and boy his he a looker.  He is very calm and laid back.  He is being treated for those nasty heartworms so check back often for updates on this beautiful boy.

Katie and Sarah love their foster sis Karma.  They are great with all of our dogs and do great meeting new people and dogs.  Katie is a little shy at first, but she will warm up to you after a while.  Sarah is a love bug.  She loves to cuddle.  They both like to play with the tug rope.  It might be best if these girls were adopted by a family that has another dog.  If you think one or both of these girls might be a fit in your family, click on the North Mississippi Great Dane Rescue link and complete an application.

Katie and Sarah had a great time at Shelby Farms.  Katie loved swimming with Cedar and Robbie.  Sarah liked to wade around in the water, but she was not sure about swimming.  They did great meeting other dogs and people.
